Wingate - Chester (Tuck) Harris, 59, a resident of Wingate since 1939 died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital after being seriouly ill for three days. He was born Dec 31, 1901, in Kentucky. His parents were Joe and Sally Harris. On Aug 15, 1934, he married Pauline Thompson in Crawfordsville. He was a member of Wingate Methodist Church and worked as a laborer. He lived in Coal Creek Township after his marriage and moved to Wingate in 1939. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Russell of Waynetown and Jack of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Harrison Tindall of Louisville; a brother, Roscoe of Louisville; two grandchildren Scott and Connie Harris of Waynetown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown. Rev. Homer Hunsinger of Lebanona will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. Delbert Smith of Wingate Methodist.
